The HEAP project has launched a YouTube playlist featuring videos and summaries of all 18 presentations from the symposium, “Humanity and the Environment: Moving Exposome Research from Information to Action”, hosted by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO) in Lyon, France, in May 2024.

The Symposium showcased the HEAP research projects, that together demonstrate the breadth of the new approaches that can be implemented in gathering and analysing scientific data: from wearable sensors and consumer receipts to cohort studies and health registries.

Guest speakers and members of the EHEN Ethics and Law Working Group also explored the legal and ethical challenges faced by exposome researchers in their work, which often involves managing and sharing sensitive data in the context of collaborative and international research projects, and how these challenges can be addressed.
